Seasonal porch & entry styling in Nashville — DM for pricing

These spiral stairs in my home were not my favorit These spiral stairs in my home were not my favorite. When you can’t get rid of it, reimagine it. These industrial spiral stairs weren’t going anywhere, so I painted them to look like brass instead. Gold paint, dark wax for patina, and suddenly the stairs belong with the rest of the vision for the basement transformation vision and upstairs kitchen renovation. Next we will work on floors and living room@space down here.
Classy, but make it autumn front porch🍂 My front Classy, but make it autumn front porch🍂

My front entry got its fall refresh, and nearly every stem came free from my own yard. Dried hydrangeas — a few got a subtle burgundy spray-paint glow-up — tucked into foraged magnolia and cedar, layered over a Christmas garland I used as the base to make it easy. Matching wreaths finished with soft neutral bows.

Dried hydrangeas are the gift that keeps giving. Cut them as the blooms turn, let them dry right in the vase, and they carry you from late summer straight through the holidays. And a can of spray paint means no bloom goes to waste. Inspired by @theseasonalhomestylist

Mums and pumpkins on the steps for that final touches and layer of fall. You don’t need a ton of pumpkins if you don’t want when you surround them forage🤍

If you live in Nashville and would like this look or something similar at your home or for an event, send me a DM for pricing.

Fall doesn’t need a pumpkin on every surface. On Fall doesn’t need a pumpkin on every surface.

On my kitchen island: dried hydrangeas in a brass urn, a bowl of apples, a little candy corn and nut mix in a silver dish, and of course a cozy candle that smells like fall. 🍂

Dried hydrangeas are the easy one. Cut them when the blooms start to turn, let them dry right in the vase, and they go from green to dusty rose to antique gold. No water to change, and they last all season.

Mix metals, mix heights, and let the food be part of the decor.
The first week of autumn calls for a little change The first week of autumn calls for a little change at the table. 🍂

There’s a simple elegance to a table that’s set, even when you aren’t expecting company. It adds warmth to the room and becomes part of your home’s decor, something to enjoy between gatherings, too.

For this seasonal refresh, I used pieces I already had, layering patterns, colors, and textures to build visual interest. It’s one of my favorite ways to welcome a new season and see familiar things a little differently.

One of my favorite details was the ceiling full of balloons and ribbon bows. I hung the balloons with painter’s tape and tied on bows with ribbon from Amazon. Such a simple way to make the room feel whimsical and special.

A little inspiration for your next celebration, whether you’re turning five or simply inviting friends for tea. 🫖

A bathroom doesn’t have to feel entirely new just A bathroom doesn’t have to feel entirely new just because it has been renovated.

Here, new cabinetry and marble countertops create a clean, practical foundation, while collected pieces bring warmth, history, and character. I found the antique rug at an estate sale, the mirror on Facebook Marketplace, and the sconces are from @lechateauatl in Atlanta.

The contrast is what makes the room feel special. New function layered with pieces that have already lived a life.

My favorite rooms are rarely from one store or one era. They are built slowly, mixing what is useful and new with what is beautiful, storied, and worth keeping.
Bring back the portière. Pronounced “por tee air, Bring back the portière.

Pronounced “por tee air,” a portière is a curtain hung across a doorway or open passage. An old French design detail traditionally used for warmth, privacy and reducing drafts, it is also a beautiful way to soften architecture and create an elegant transition between rooms.

My style is highly influenced by French interiors, and I love the way they use fabric to bring softness and romance to a space.

These authentic silk panels were an estate sale find. Their weight, sheen and beautiful drape made them perfect between our entrance hall and living spaces.

For an intentional look, choose substantial fabric like velvet, linen or silk, hang it high, use generous fullness and let it reach the floor. Since a portière is viewed from both rooms, the fabric and finishing should look beautiful from either side.

It does not have to be used in an entrance. A portière can add simple elegance between any two rooms.
One beautiful material, used well, can completely transform a space. Shout out to @kikiastorofficial for the post and inspo to do this in my home.
I love antiques, not simply because they are beaut I love antiques, not simply because they are beautiful, but because they carry visible evidence of the lives, homes and generations that came before us.

This is especially true of antique religious art. These works were never created as decoration alone. They carried Scripture, faith and devotion through history, giving visual form to stories that have shaped lives for centuries.

I found this large oil painting at an estate sale with very little information about its past. It depicts The Adoration of the Shepherds: Mary holding the infant Jesus as Joseph and the shepherds gather around Him in wonder.

When the painting was removed from its frame, I discovered that the canvas was actually much larger than it appeared. At some point, the upper portion had been folded over to fit a smaller frame—hiding an angel holding a banner above the Nativity. It was such a beautiful reminder that antiques often keep revealing their stories, even when we may never know all of them.

I do not yet know who painted this version or precisely how old it is. It bears the wear of its journey, but that is part of its beauty to me. In a world where things are so quickly replaced, I love surrounding our family with pieces that have endured, especially pieces that preserve something sacred.

This one holds a history I may never fully uncover and a story that has been told for more than two thousand years. I knew it belonged in our home. 🤍

I am Looking forward to Spring and warmer ☀️weather ahead, this is a great reminder about when to prune your hydrangeas, depending on what kind you have!
I love timeless elegance of hydrangeas 🌿💐, knowing when to prune your hydrangeas is key to ensuring bountiful blooms.

🌸 For **Bigleaf and Lacecap hydrangeas (Hydrangea macrophylla)**, prune right after blooming in summer or early fall. These beauties bloom on old wood, so timing is everything to not cut off next year’s flowers.

🍂 **Oakleaf hydrangeas (Hydrangea quercifolia)** also prefer post-summer pruning. Their unique leaf shape and stunning fall color add a classic touch to any space.

❄️ **Panicle (Hydrangea paniculata)** or cone shaped blooms and **Smooth hydrangeas (Hydrangea arborescens)** bloom on new wood, making late winter or early spring the perfect pruning time- Right now!. This encourages strong, healthy growth and larger flowers.

Remember, a little care goes a long way. With these simple pruning tips, your hydrangeas will be the crowning glory of your garden design, year after year. 💖🌿”
